Well there is not long to go now to the fantastic Father Christmas Cruise, Lantern Parade and Ambleside light switch on. Stuart our ever ready maintenance man and Paul our very own exterior designer have spend the past two days sorting out all our fabulous decorations ready for the 17th of November.We are going all out again on the decorations with some new additions and old favourites to light up the hotel. Let’s hope Paul and Stuart didn’t get themselves in a tangle with the lights …. hope they have checked all the bulbs! I think it’s fair to say that both Paul and Stuart have most definitely seen the light!!

We hope you like our new Blog ,  we are getting all geared up here for the half term holiday, lots going on in and around Ambleside. Our schools in Cumbria break up today but there will be no rest for some of the pupils as they will be busy rehersing  for their up and coming production of The Phantom of the Opers…. very swish!

We are looking forward to a great half term, the colours on the trees and fells are really amazing it’s been a beautiful Autumn.

At last some fab pictures of our newest room Helvellyn we are really pleased with the room, it’s has a really trendy and funky feel to it . We have already had some great comments about the room from guest’s who have stayed and really liked the contempary decor and additions.

Borrans Park

We had a great time watching the Torch arrive in Ambleside it really was something to remember, we had a birds eye view from the hotel and even saw the ‘Kiss’ right on our door step! Local school children lined Borrans Park and a few lucky ones got to sail to Bowness with the flame…. then amazing entertainment and a fantastic fire work display on the Glebe in Bowness what a night to remember!
